We have a really busy week. David is in Parents' Day Out on Tuesday & Thursday & he has swim lessons Monday-Thursday evening which begins at 6. I'm not sure how well this menu will work considering we need to be out the door by 5:15. I tried to pick easy to fix items.
Sunday - pizza
Monday - tuna salad (plenty leftover for lunches), rolls, garden salad (lettuce from our own garden)
Tuesday - pasta with alfredo, chicken, & broccoli
Wednesday - meatloaf, mashed potatoes, carrots (all in the freezer)
Thursday - spaghetti, garlic bread, salad
Friday - stir fry
Saturday - leftovers
I need to begin also doing a menu plan for lunch. Eventually I'd like to incorporate breakfast too so we don't end up eating cereal every morning.

Great meal plan. I need to start doing better about writting down our meal plans.
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting it ready ahead of time! One thing that might help is making dinner at lunch time (while making lunch) and putting it in the fridge for later--your salads would be especially easy to have prepared ahead of time.
ReplyDeleteI wrote out menus plans for myself that include breakfast and lunch. I made one for each season that includes things that are ripe in my garden at that time. (You have lettuce right now, but it's 120 here and my lettuce bolted months ago, so lettuce is in my spring and fall menus.
We stopped having cold cereal a few years ago. My children are fuller with a cooked breakfast, and it enabled me to cut out a morning snack (which means I no longer have to stand in the kitchen all day).
Your meals sound delicious! Is the broccoli from your garden, too?
